Hi manda,
Finding that internal motivation is sometime so hard. Just do it. The very fact that you posted here means that deep down inside you know that to get the results you simply have to do it. That is how I am feeling right now too.
If you need someone to tell you...well, I am happy to oblige.
I am getting ready myself to head to the gym. It is really bad our right now and the roads are nasty but I am getting my stuff together to go anyway!
So, I'll tell you what...lets both check back later tonight and see if we did it! It will motivate both of us!0 -
Good luck to both of you and DeeDee drive carefully!0

If you're like me, you've just go to do it. I sit around all day thinking of reasons not too until I feel angry and guilty. Just do it, you'll feel better and it will start your weekend off on the right foot.0

It's unreal isnt it.. Right now i'm meant to be studying and i'm on here, when i've set a target to exercise i'll study.. I think it's our minds playing tricks!
My advice would be to throw on your sweats and aim to do half the run, and hopefully once you get into it you'll do what you originally planned and if not at least you've done something.. Easier said than done but try it - i over think everything so sometimes i throw on my headfones and go into zomibe mode and amazingly just get things done!! Good Luck

If you have a Wii, then pop in Wii sports and play boxing. That's sure to burn some. Or better yet, go walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes, then maybe satisfy a craving ( in moderation of course). I know it's not good to reward a workout with something yummy and unhealthy but to do it this one time. It may make you workout harder tomorrow.0

I know the feeling. I am so tired right now, the work week kicked my butt. I really just want to hit the couch.
I'll tell you what is inspiring me however, to do it anyway when I get home. My jeans feel tight... uhhhg. It is an awful feeling and I am tired of it! No rest until I burn a few hundred calories.0 -
Just do it. Problem is not doing it rather than starting it correct?. Or at least it is for me, but once I get going I'm always glad that I did. I usually do it to eat something for dinner. Today I only have 30 calories remaining and can't exercise tonight, so I'm stuck not eating anything but will busy so I will not miss it. I will drink lots of water and be fine wishing that I was on the treadmill.
You can do it, just think that you are doing to help all of who would be unable to do so.0 -
Thanks everybody!! That definitely gave me some motivation.. Once i get home i will get my workout gear on and head outside. Even if just walk a little it is something rather than nothing. And here in az it is a beautiful 70 degrees out so i cant pass that up..(not to make all you people with snow feel bad).0

Well, Manda... I did it...
When I left the house it was storming pretty bad and by the time I left the gym my car was encased in ice with 6 inches of snow on top. It was worth it though. I did weights for 30 minutes, then the eliptical for 30, then swimming for 35. I did nice things too, like the sauna. :glasses: When I got home my son was shovelling so I grabbed the other shovel and did some really heavy shovelling for another 35 minutes. I have not had the courage to face the cold and swim since before Christmas. Tonight though, I just knew I had to get back in there and do it!
While driving like a turtle (slippery roads) I thought of you and how proud of myself I would be to post this tonight and how ashamed I would be if I didn't go.
I am indebted to you for your post.
BTW, My dear friend lives in Phoenix and I seriously LOVE AZ!!!0 -
I also went out for a quick walk Dee Dee! Probably didn't push myself as much as i could have but i got out there and did it. I also resisted temptation at macayos mexican grill tonight. Went with the salmon tacos and only ate one tortilla!! woo hoo!! I am so excited that you went out even when it was scary out to drive. I feel awesome when i do a swim. Good job! And keep up the good work.
