Lifting for Cardio

I've done a challenge this week between me and my hubby. To burn off 7k calories this week including 3 days of weight lifting. I made my challenge today (and then some). So I'm a bit run down... as I worked out 7 days in a row at the gym. Tomorrow is our lifting day and we usually do some cardio as well on those days. My legs are shot so I'm going to skip my usual incline treadmill mania.
So I'm thinking of doing my usual full body lifting thing. Then coming back later in the day (2 a days WHAT?!?!?) and doing another lifting session but deducting the amount I lift. My usual stuff goes pyramid style 3 sets of 8 or fail.
My question is what should I be lifting on my second session? I was thinking 25% less than my max on each exercise. Is this too low? Too high? Thoughts on what percentage I should deduct for this workout?
Thanks for your help

Are you doing upper body one day, Lower body the next when lifting?0

I know this whole thing is basically a dare, but I still gotta say this entire idea is misconceived. It's a one way trip to burnout city, with almost no prospective benefits. It's a bad bet. Lifting for cardio can be done, but it's extremely taxing on recovery, and combined with the intense program you guys already do its just too much0

No we do full body lifting 3x a week0 -

I should add the 7k calories burned in a week bet is over. Today is supposed to be a lifting day but taking it easy. I just don't want to skip my lifting day (Haven't done weights since Thurs). So I've had a few days off of lifting to recover from the last time I killed myself.
If you really think it's an awful idea to lift lightly for extra calorie burn I can always just do an easy day on the treadmill. Was just trying to rest my legs a bit. I hate taking days off because it screws up my eating0 -
The poster above who said about burnout city is totally correct.
OP I know you do not want to hear this, but forget any dare and concentrate on your own training in your own time at your own pace.
Overtraining is a very grave risk you run and it is not something you can take lightly, it interrupts all future training sessions and can last for an age. Illness and injury are just two of the effects of burnout/overtraining, is winning a dare worth it I ask.
Personally, for me, it would not be, I would rather train consistently and steadily than a massive boost to calories burned during exercise for one week and a dare
Many people do train everyday or six days per week and burn sh!tloads of calories, but they will have gradually built up to it.......0
