Syncing MFP with Fit Bit Ultra

Its been a while so this could be reversed...

On MFP go to tools tab
Click on the FitBit tracker Icon
It will say "get fitbit" or "link fitbit"

Make sure Your Fitbit is hooked up to your computer via cable and that you are logged in on the FitBit site

Click Link.

Should be complete after that.

Now to verify this.....

You created your online profile on the fitbit website. (You do this when you first get it)
Log in
Your fitbit dashboard will come up
To the top right corner you will see your name and a small down arrow. Click on this
Account Settings
Applications
It should show that you have authorized MFP to access your info.


Notes:

Now, just remember FitBIt counts calories burned continually. So if you do not burn calories OVER your BMR nothing will show up under the MFP exercise tab when you cable it up.

There will be glitches with FitBit and MFP- dont panic it happens. Your data is safe for about a week so just try again later.

Lastly, I suggest you link via cable at the end of the day to log your stats. I logged twice one day and "lost" numbers. Might have been a glitch but ehh.. I just cable it to the laptop before bedtime


Fitbit is great for calorie numbers and daily mileage. Now if you are tracking running or likewise with apps like Mapmyrun or Runkeeper Your stride distance and map distance will not line up (so annoying!).

PS- It is most secure on actual belts and bras (my fav). I have almost lost mine twice due to "edge of pocket" placement.

Where is the tools tab? I do not see it on MFP

it has changed to "reports" now....that is where it is now i believe....:)
