How do YOU stay motivated?

I'm really bummed out, and have no one but myself to blame.
The first time I joined MFP I started logging my foods, and exercising every day, I felt like a new person! For the first time in my life, I was the fit girl, the one people came up to for advice. All my friends commented on it and my depression was far gone!
Slowly as school and work (read. laziness and excuses) took over, I found myself with less and less energy, and more reason to munch on horribly unhealthy foods, I started putting the weight back on. And I'm finding it incredibly hard to get the motivation to haul my *kitten* off the couch and work out! -It actually feel like it's a little freeing to write this down, admit where I'm at. A first step to recovery perhaps?
What do you do to keep yourself motivated? And specific quotes? Do you have a workout calender?
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to answer!!! xx

Three ways:
1) I allow myself 'cheat' days so I don't feel like this is a constant exercise in deprivation and misery.
2) I keep a good network of supportive people around me, both on here and on Facebook. They keep me going when I'm feeling low.
3) I look at the people I know who used to be big and are either know smaller than me or are getting close and use that as a motivation to keep going. Vanity and a competitive streak won't allow me to be fatter than them. Shallow? Yes, but it works for me.0 -
your profile says you love your body. If you do, you will respect it and protect it.
go to a nursing home or a senior living home and volunteer for an afternoon.
it isn't all of the people there, but seeing what happens when you don't take care of yourself
is really eye opening.
It may be hard for a 24 year old to relate to, but it makes you appreciate your health and motivates you to protect it.0 -
Hi,
I have been feeling the same this week, my eating has been fine (staying under my calories) but my motivation for exercise has gone  but I woke up this morning and have realised I have to get back to it the only one I'll be cheating is myself so hopefully today will be a turning point I'm gonna make up for the week with exercise today and keep with it.
I'm happy for you to add me as a friend so we can help motivate each other

I need about 1800 calories to maintain my weight. I eat 1600 calories or less and never go over 1800. If I feel super hungry, I just eat 1600 and call it a day. I track calories on a paper on my fridge. It is a reminder every time I open the fridge how much I have ate and what food groups I still need. I stopped tracking on the internet because I felt it was way more time consuming and difficult when I work such long hours, 12.5 hour shifts. I buy myself non-food gifts for sticking with it flowerforyou:0
