What to eat after a late workout?

I often get my exercise late -- usually 45 min of cardio work after dinner, after our girls are in bed, and typically between 9 and 11pm...
When I'm done, I often feel super hungry. I typically have 300-400 calories "left" after the workout, but never quite know what's the best thing to eat that a) will satisfy my hunger, b) is a good thing to have not too long before I call it a night, and c) doesn't suck...
Any suggestions?

I usually go for a "green monster" smoothie of some sort with some protein powder mixed in, or some greek yogurt with cereal (usually something like Fiber One or granola of some sort), or cottage cheese with some nuts mixed in if I want fewer carbs.0

I consume fruits or home made smoothie. I don't like the protein shakes anymore nor do I like to eat a meal. Something quick and liquid based really helps you. One way or the other have something small that will satisfy the hungry hormone.0
