Does anyone have the Fitbit One?

I'm hoping this works because I work in a warehouse but I don't do the same thing all the time so it's hard to tell how much exercise calories I get a day so I don't kknow how much I should be eating. I was told a Fitbit could help with that and so I preordered one as I have wanted a fitbit since I joined this site. Does anyone have a fitbit and did they find it to be helpful? Mine should be shipping in early November so I'll still have to make do on my own for a little while longer. :P

I have the Fitbit Ultra.. and I LOVE it! Never leave home without Felix and I never log any exercise anymore, makes life sooo much easier.0

Do bear in mind though, that if you do any STRENGTH training workouts (like situps, crunches, weight lifting, 30 Day Shred etc) the Fitbit WON'T track the calories accurately as it goes by steps. So it's fine if you only want to log walking and running and just how much you move about all day, but if you do workout DVDs like me, you need a Heart Rate Monitor for that0 -

I know. Mine said early November since I just placed the order last night. Oh well. I can wait. :P
fizzletto - well, I don't really track that much in terms of strength training. I use MFP's calorie measurement for that since I found it under cardio...since their strength training database doesn't add any calories. At work I'm mostly doing walking, lifting, squatting, etc so I think it'll help.0 -

Have you noticed an increase in weight loss? That's what I'm hoping for. Some days I never know if I'm eating too much or not enough based on what I did at work. >.<0 -
I have a fitbit ultra.
Don't log you food in both places! I just log in MFP and it transfers over to fitbit.
Yes I have seen weightloss - I'm down about 6 lbs. But I credit that to all the running I'm doing (about 4.5 miles a day)
Fit bit is addictive! I started out walking after work in the evenings. Then I said to myself, I can jog this. And now I'm registered for a bunch of races! I ran my first 5K a few weeks ago!
The only thing I don't like about it is the sleep tracker. That is pretty much useless IMO0 -

Oh, thanks for the tip.

I want a fitbit - but if you know where I can get one cheaper than $100 please let me know. I refuse to spend that much money on a thing that is no bigger than a battery... My money is not that long...0

I have a fitbit, and I do love it. One observation, you note that you work in a warehouse, the fitbit, is good for recording calories burnt for exercises such has running, jogging & walking. It cannot measure weight lifting (anything exercise or work that you use your upper body).
You may want to research the BodyMedia Fit, (which I have too), this one is better to measure overall exercise and workouts.0 -

Yeah, I figured that but I do a lot of squats and most of my activity that involves me moving around. I figure this will give me a better estimate as to how much I should be eating. I figure any weight lifting I do will be considered a bonus to that. :P
I will look into it and if it sounds better, I'll cancel my fitbit order for that.0 -
Um...the bodymedia fit is about 50 bucks more than the fitbit. And it requires a monthly subscription fee to use their website? No thank you. I think I'll stick with the fitbit and see how that works.0
