Another TDEE question

Alright, say my TDEE is 2050, so at a 20% cut I should be eating 1640 calories a day. That's around 400 less than my TDEE. If I burn like, 300 calories with exercise, that puts my calories at 700 less than TDEE. That's creating a rather large deficit for someone who only has about 20 pounds to lose. So should I eat back my exercise calories, or just stick at 1640?

What are you talking about? Your TDEE includes your exercise.

So the calorie burn from exercise is already included in my TDEE? Sorry, I'm still a bit new to understanding this stuff. It can be confusing.

If you're using MFP's generated numbers, you'd eat your exercise calories.

If you're using another site to calculate your TDEE and have included your exercise in your goal, you don't eat them.

It should work out about the same.

IE, using MFP numbers, to maintain my weight, I was eating about 1750 plus exercise calories, for a total of anywhere between 1900-2400 calories depending on how much I exercised that particular day. Calculating my TDEE on another site, based on my normal weekly exercise, is about 2300 calories.

Also, with only 20 pounds to lose, you might want to go for a 15% cut instead of 20%.
