Hi,
does anyone use a fitbit? Is it accurate and worth the money?

Thanks for any heads up before I go ahead and buy one!

Yes and yes:). I use mine all the time and it's very accurate...and it syncs with this app! Food and exercise calories burned all in one spot. You will love it!

The thing to remember about the fitbit is that it works based on a pedometer mechanism, so bumps, jolts, and anything that gives it a sudden jarring (including riding around in a car down a bumpy road) will lead to inaccurate readings. Also it has no real way of taking your vitals.

More or less it's a computerized pedometer that is only really useful for people whose only means of exercise consists of walking, jogging, running, and stair climbing. For anything else you can't use it.

If you simply want a pedometer, and have a smartphone, i recommend "accupedo".

I love my FitBit. I've had it since February.

The last couple of days though MFP has totally been messing with the linking of it so when the dust settles with that feature I'll be happier. Until a few days ago it was the awesomest thing.
