How many times a day do you tell yourself this: I AM SO FAT! I have been telling myself this a lot lately, this is not helping me with my weight loss, I got to stop!

I hate to tell u this but its all in your mind. If you think this way now it wont go away when you loose the wt. I know cause i still am stuggling with this even though I am half the size I was. I look in the mirror and still see "fat". Trust me when I tell you start working on not seeing the fat but seeing the improvment in yourself. Your wt loss and the end result will be so much healthier and better!
Good luck!0 -

I agree with Tiffany. When I only weighed 102 I felt fat because I am a "pear" shape and my legs were bigger than any of my friends at the time. Now, I really try to see myself the way others see me. I am so much happier when I do. It is a mental thing and kind of an anorexic way of thinking. Work on loving yourself for the good things your are doing! Focus on the positive.

thank you for this great advice..........i have to remember i lost a lot weight, i am a new person, now that's inside out.0

One final thought....if your goal is to look like the chick on your profile picture, try to remember that she doesn't even look like that outside of an airbrushed photo shoot.

Whenever I start thinking that way I go look at my 'before' and 'now' pictures. What an improvement! I can't wait to put a new picture up--I LOVE seeing the progress I've made!0

I used to think that.....Now I think, "I am not as fat as I used to be...." It is basically a mind over matter thing. Focus on your accomplishments.0

I agree focus on your accomplishments, the way we feel sometimes has a lot to do with praising ourselves even if others don't praise you as much, but you have to continue your journey. You've done so good !!! Look at yourself in the mirror and say " I have done very good and have to finish what I started. I have the support of friends at MFP so I'm not alone" " I love MEEEE" My mom once told me to look at myself in the mirror and say this things to myself and so that's the reason I'm here at MFP...I am so grateful...
An idea of what else we can do is take a picture of yourself of before and after, look at them, and repeat the things above maybe by looking at what you are becoming will help you!!!! You're worth it !!!!
