I have a HRM that works just with my iphone. I loved it at first but its getting to be a pain. I used a Polaris that comes with a watch and chest band, loved it! But get ready to spend at least 100$0

This thread has been on here before, and the unanimous winner is the Polar FT4. Comes with a chest strap that you attach your transmitter to, and your watch tells you your current HR, whether you're in your fat burning range, how many calories you've burned, how long you've been exercising, etc. And has customizable settings for your age, height, weight, etc. Just very easy to use, and very reasonable. It pays to shop around, but I've seen it anywhere from 65 to over 100 dollars. I've used it for months and it's been very reliable. Hope this helps!0
