It's pretty awesome being able to get a consistent 550-720 calorie burn (according to my HRM) in a 45 minutes class.

  • I tried spinning in college, and the class was awful.
    4 years later, I picked it up again after, a couple weeks ago, since I needed a change to my cardio routine. I've been four times since and I definitely plan on going back. I've comitted myself to going 20 times, and hopefully I'll see improvements/toning of my midsection and "saddlebag" area.

    Spin class gets ya fit fast! Used to love it...I now just cycle everywhere instead...at a good speed.

    I can definitely sympathize with the 'awful' feeling. You really have to have a good instructor that mixes up the workouts to get a benefit and enjoy the class.

    I dread the days there's a sub for my class, sometimes it'll be really bad.

    That's great that you're going to try it again, it's definitely the best cardio workout I've ever gotten!

  • I'll second the cardio. I found I can run faster and for longer period of time. I did a 7.5 miles in an hour and wasn't tired the other day. It's only going to help the 1/2 marathon I've got in November

    agree! I have only been 3 times, but I love it! plus i sweat like crazy... fat leaving the body! :)

    Ha! I feel the same way :happy: , I'm absolutely drenched when I leave class and I love it!
