Well, you know its not for the long term, and I don't think a week will hurt you.
I wish you the best of lucks with the experiment!0 -
I do the Flat Belly Detox every once in a while when I need a kick in the butt and JUMP start after vacations, holidays, etc. I tis eating NOT STARVATION but cery clean, with delicious sassy water with every meal.
Sometime it feels good to clear the body out.0 -
Looks interesting. I'd like to know how it works out.0

an afterthought--all this diet seems to do is cut out grains and dairy...while some people do that long term (people who eat low carb or Paleo lifestyle), they generally do try to eat a balanced diet--protein/veg/fruit/healthy fats. And stay at a certain number of calories. Why not just do that? There's nothing magic about combining turkey/chicken and tomatoes (or whatever the diet requires).0
-
Why not eat a healthy balanced meal every day?
That is too complicated
Apparently
What spectacular results are you expecting to see after 1 week? It is not going to make a difference at all in the long run.
And its completely pointless.0 -
LOL I love the term "kickstart weight loss" haha0
-
DO IT!!!! Ignore the haters!! Just do it!0
-
I love the "This is what I'm doing, don't be negative because it's not a starvation diet"...
Okay. You obviously know what you're doing is "wrong" in some sense or you wouldn't feel the need to protect yourself from negative commentary.0 -
don't agree with fad diets just a well balanced diet and stick to it forever0

So many *kitten* :yawn:0

This whole thread should be in the Jokes section...this is not real.0

>The first people did live off of fruits and veggies and things found from nature, and clearly they've made it over 2,000 years,
>maybe it'll be good for some people to learn how to live off of the land and what is natural instead of relying on processed
>foods.
If you are talking about our ancient ancestors, they weren't humans. They weren't homo sapiens. The brain did not begin to evolve into the way it is now until we started eating meat, likely scavanged. Literally, meat was what gave us the ability to develop highly sophisticated brains. Meat is very important to the modern human diet. And yes, the ones before us survived a hundred thousand years but they would have had different anatomies than we have. Maybe it would have been just subtly different, but it would have been different.
Yes, our ancient ancestors ate fruits and veg, but a lot of primates also eat insects. Modern humans have all the traits of an omnivore. We have large livers for processing meats and medium intestines for taking nutrients from plants, maybe not very fibrous plants, but plants all the same. We have forward facing eyes, but our ears are on the sides of our heads.
No modern human survives on just fruits and veg. They include nuts and eggs typically. For protein and fat.
And 2000 years is an absurdly low number. People 2000 years ago wouldn't have been different from us physically. They had the same dietary requirements we do.
How the hell does this diet teach anyone to live off the land? What are you even talking about?
It's called Paleo or the caveman diet and you do eat meat, fresh grain feed meat.0 -
that vidio is disgusting0

Sounds like the Cabbage Soup Diet to me.....but your only eating the soup on the last day!0
-
I just don't understand what you're hoping to get from it. Why do it? Why deal with excessive hunger-which will likely come-why not do it the sustainable way from the beginning?0
-
this is just a version of the cabbage soup diet.0

Basically you eat fruit one day, veggies the next, then fruit and veg, then bananas and yogurt, then turkey/chicken and tomato, then turkey/chicken and vegetable, and finish with a veggie cabbage soup...
I started today with the fruits, I'm eating a lot of melons...
Just wanted to share and see what the results are at the end of the week =]
No negative feedback please, this is not a starvation diet
No negative feedback here, but i just have a comment. Fruits tend to get the bowels moving, and chances are, while you are not starving you are cleaning your colon out. Once you eat normally and stool forms again, you will gain the weight back.
Just food for thought. Good luck to you!0 -
my co-worker is doing this right now, actually. he lost 5 lbs the first day, but he fully expects some of the weight to come back. He's just using it as a jump start to get back into his healthy eating routine, as he's been eating crap for the past few months.0
-
Ok, so my first thought when I read this wasn't about the sustainability of it, or the health implications... it was about the amount of times you will be going to the toilet living off fruit!
I agree with everyone that's said it's not useful for long term weight loss, but whatever works for you! And it might be handy for things like weddings, I know before my wedding I'll be trying to look as slim as possibly whatever it takes, even if I am stuck eating melons and sitting on the toilet all day!0 -
Very balanced. I'm sure your body will be happy after this diet and you'll be feeling wonderfull.
Is this serious? or a joke? This diet is horribly imbalanced. It's seriously lacking in protein and fat. It's basically all carbs, few calories, and is downright imbalanced. I would not recommend it and she'll likely feel tired, fuzzy headed, and want to stop by the end of day 2.0 -

Why not just let this girl try what she wants, and say, "Good Luck"? No one's diet journey has been flawless. It's trial and error until you find something that works for you personally. She is excited about trying something new, wanted to share, and all she gets is negativity from a bunch of people who are just as vulnerable as she is. I hope that everyone here opens their eyes, and realizes that she can get all this criticsm in "real life" and she doesn't need to hear how you all disagree with her choices on here. Just be kind and supportive. That's all I'm saying.
If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all!0 -

Let us know how you do....
my only concern is if the weight will add right back on when u finish.... i did the General Motors diet (u can google it) and i did lose according to the scale, but ALL literally came bck on within 2 days lol.... but keep us posted0 -
No negative feedback please, this is not a starvation diet
The forums generally elicit both positive and negative feedback. If you don't want both, you might need to go sit in the corner and eat your melon alone and not post about it here.0 -
I'm curious of your results too! To me, it sounds more of a detox vs diet. It's not like it's NOT sustainable....which is almost what a diet is. You could potentially carry this on....I mean, you're getting meats, your getting veggies and fruits. It's not like you're starving yourself of the nutrients your body needs. I say go for it! Then let us know how it went!
I did a detox/cleanse one time. It was all just fruits for an entire week. It cleared out everything! I'm talking everything!! I felt so much better at the end of it! Now that....that is something you shouldn't carry on. But one week out of a year, no harm....and much good to clear out the junk that even normal "clean" foods can do. Just my thoughts though. I'm no expert.0 -

Geeeze... let her try it and see.... dont have to be so stern... even if u have ur opinion about the results.... she will determine when she is through with it....0 -
i have to admit that i did do it 3 years ago and lost 13lbs with it! and all i did was drinking that veggie/cabbage soup for about two weeks... you'll get bored eating this after a few days to a week, but it worked for me... and i kept it off too... but don't do it for long tho... i might do it again ;-)0
-
I mean after all, I'm not on here for a temporary diet, I'm here for the lifestyle change =]
Well, then, by all means...do something that provides temporary, non-sustainable results. Makes sense to me... :noway:0 -
Sounds legit - great macros!!0
-
If people find an approach unhealthy then why would they SUPPORT it instead of being honest about their opposition to such drastic tactics. She realizes it's temporary and unsustainable--so why do it at all?0
