What rockin workout mix do you use?

I'm looking for some suggestions on some music to workout to. My playlists are old and played to death. What do all MFP friends have on their ipods?

no matter what type of workout I'm doing, I prefer hard rock or metal. Every once in a while I'll throw some pop or rap in but I mainly stick to rock or metal.

I stick do dance/90's techno :blushing: tunes for jogging so each beat = 1 step. I find it much easier to jog like this to a fast beat, when a slow song comes on i tend to slow down too.

Any other exercise i just play anything on my pod lol

I actually just went to the Apple iTunes store and typed in "workout" and listened to a bunch of previews. Then I picked a few good ones to download. I think the ones I picked were from an iTunes Essentials Workout Playlist, but another one I like is "Top 40 Hits Remixed" Power Music Workout...

For some reason I can't listen to songs I actually like and listen to regularly (in the car, etc) or it slows me down and relaxes me too much. For working out, I tend to like fast-paced techno-like songs that I wouldn't normally listen to.

Try Podrunner Intervals through iTunes--it's free and I can get up to 7.4 mph during a workout where any playlist I create only 6.8 mph at best. I think it's because I don't know the songs on Podrunner or ever listen to this type of music outside of working out.

They also have three different intervals -- 5k, 8k and 10k....it's fun and motivating!
  • I have a bunch of varied stuff on mine but starting with Tightope (Solo Version)- Janelle Monae seems to do a pretty good job of helping me start strong.

What ever is playing at the Gym because I don't have and iPod. I can't function with anything stack inside my ears, and most of the time I am not even aware of the music anyway.
