4 Month Progress

My body is still not where I want it to be, but I figured I would post my progress this far. I plan on trying to lose another 40-45 lbs and then put on muscle. Anyone have an idea on when a good lean look will appear (Abs, ect...)? Other suggestions advice?

Thanks!

Congratulations on your loss! Impressive so far!

As for a lean look, you must be working out in conjunction with eating right for that to happen. I suggest a cardio routine plus lifting weights. I am no trainer, though, so I cannot advise you as to when and how much.

I did 3 months of training with a trainer but cannot afford the gym anymore. So, now I do situps (100), pushups (20), squats (50) for strength and run for cardio (but mostly I run - about 16 miles each week).

One thing I know for certain - you should begin now with weight training because I waited until I had lost 50 pounds and now I have some saggy skin issues I am dealing with.
  • Fantastic! A total inspiration. Hope I can do as well as you are doing!

Thanks a lot for the advice! I lift weights about 4 times a week and do cardio daily. I'm an ex football player so i've always loved the gym.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm very glad I decided to take progress pictures.... It is hard for me to look in the mirror and see that i've lost anything.

You look good dude. You may find that it gets a little more difficult the smaller you get. I've been 10 pounds from my goal on two occasions and the slow progress made me cave in and give up. Definitely do weights. They will increase your muscle mass which will increase the amount of calories you burn just walking around and moving during the day.
