hi guys
i have a kind of silly question about toning.
don't laugh at me! haha. here it is: does flexing help tone at all?
like, for example, you're just standing in the shower or at a bus stop. if you flex your ab muscles, would it help to tone them in any way?
thanks! :$ again, don't laugh at me haha i'm just curious!

No because there is no such thing as "toning."0

not really sure how much it helps if that;s all you're doing, but I love flexing as I go throughout the day0

I asked the same question and found this answer through Google. Flexing can help... they are called isometric exercises. I guess Bruce Lee was a big fan of it. The answer on this link will explain it better than I could.

I guess planks are essentially flexing your ab muscles so doing it can't be all that bad...0 -

I used to flex my abs during boring classes in college for as long as I could hold it, and time it, to keep myself awake. It helped.
ETA Still occasionally do it during meetings. Still helps.0 -
