Song obsession?

Does anyone else have a song that they could listen to a million times and NEVER tire of it??

Mine is currently (I do this a lot...) My Darkest Days' Move Your Body. Love the line: Just for fun you take your tongue and run it over my lip, and God I love the way she does it for the hell of it.

What's yours? Or do you even do this?

No, I don't. Ever. I think you've gone insane. Check yourself into an insane asylum. Now. Seriously.

  • Anything by Duffy or Joss Stone. Totally driving the rest of my family crazy.
  • Oh yeah.......... Disco Stick, Lady Gaga, I know, I'm bad, but I can NEVER hear (or sing) this song enough!

OH GOD... I do this all the time. I will play a song over and over — sometimes for a few days, sometimes longer. I usually wear it out and then don't listen to it for a while, though. It's weird because I never know WHY, it's just something about a song will cause an itch in my brain, and the only way to scratch it is to listen to the song lol

I'm sorry, I do this all the time "Love games" not "disco stick" LOL :)

Yes, and it usually changes weekly, sometimes more often.

Currently addicted to: "Some Nights" by fun.

I do this too! A few that have hit the ridiculous number of playbacks:

    A-Ha ~ Take On Me (c'mon, I was a kid)
Smashing Pumpkins ~ 1979 (was in LOVE with Billy Corgan)
The Gaslight Anthem ~ We Did It When We Were Young
The Shins ~ New Slang, Mines Not A High Horse
    Coldplay ~ Lost

There are way too many to list all of them.

Take on Me was one of those I could never get out of my head, when I WANTED it out! LOL

Muse's "Madness" is my current obsession.

I've played Poe's cds so much my hubby can't stand her anymore.

KMFDM, Tori Amos, The Shins, and The Decemberists are all faves... I love me some "Mariners revenge"...

This is an odd song but I heard it as a child and always liked it.

    Sam Cooke - Cupid
  • Ugh same! Usually I make my favourite song my alarm, and I start to hate it :3

  • Staind - Tangled up in you
    Dashboard confessional - Even now
It will almost be 6 years for me and my man and everytime I hear these songs I get butterflies. Not because I need him, but because I want to share everything in my life/future with him.

Nothing Else Matters - Metallica (and the version by Apocalyptica has also been seriously overplayed by me) gives me goosebumps every time I play it, rare for any piece of music...

When I buy a CD (yeah I am old fashioned like that) I generally play it many, many times until I am sick of it...so music obsession is not unusual...
  • There is something about Type O' Negative and fall time. I listen to Love You to Death on repeat this time of year :)

Ghosts That We Knew by Mumford and Sons. I don't know what it is about that song but it's like camping out in my brain. It's gorgeous.

Wherever You Will Go - The Calling

I've listened to it countless times, I know every word by heart, and the strength of that voice still never fails to sweep me off my feet anytime I hear it.

Nope I only listen to a song 1x and then I'm done.....

LOL - My usual go to songs are by Kenny Chesney. I have a lot of "go do songs" but just about 99% of his songs put a smile on my face. :)
  • Doctrine by FGFC820.
  • Matt Cardle - It's only love :]
