Adjusting Calorie Goal After Significant Weight Loss

I have lost a significant amount of weight this year from exercising and consuming 1810 calories a day. Exercises include running, weight lifting, and recently insanity workouts (over the last 2 months). Over the course of the year, my weight has fluctuated slightly, but steadily decreased. I weigh myself every day as motivation so I see the subtle ups and downs.

Within the last week, i have started to notice a change. I am growing more and more hungry throughout the day. My meals aren't satisfying my hunger anymore. I don't have as much energy for my workouts anymore, which I do after work about 5:30PM. By the end of the day and I am ready to eat everything in site. I have slowly been gaining weight during this time. I know that this may be good weight gain as well, i.e muscle. I am eating 3 meals a day with a protein shake usually between meals. Take a look at my diary if you want. I know my diet isn't perfect.

My question to the community is this. After a person loses significant weight due to a substantial calorie deficit, should they increase their calorie intake to keep the weight loss going and energy level high? Should I consider increasing my calorie intake?

One thing to consider is that fat reserves can only release a little over 30 calories a day per pound of fat, so while you may start off able to liberate 1500 calories as your journey progresses this will reduce and you have less "on tap" from your reserves.

    Didn't think of that. Thanks.

I think I just need to focus more on where I'm getting my calories from. Especially on days where I am looking to do an intense workout. Maybe that will help my feeling weak during workouts.
