Ladies.......

Ugh! It's the time of the month, (ya that one). I had a great week last week but this week I am having such a hard time eating right! The lack of energy doesn't help. I just want to stay home and eat bread and peanut butter. I'm also wondering if I should skip weighing myself this week cause of the bloating? I need some sisterly support and advice!

    Try Deep Chocolate Vita Tops for your sugar craving and Pop Chips for your salt craving. Both are only 100 calories and can be found at most grocery stores!

    weigh yourself, and if you don't like it don't enter it till next week weigh. i've always been lower (so far :P), so it's worth the risk of stepping on the scales :)

    I still weigh myself but I remind myself that it won't be 100% accurate. As far as the cravings go, I chew A LOT of gum. It helps.

    Weigh yourself - yes it will be depressing, but it'll help keep you on track. Drink LOTS of water. I've been drinking Crystal Light Appletini - its sweet, but its water. At night I have Tension Tea with honey.

    Lack of energy sucks, but try to at least get a walk in if nothing else. You can splurge, but try to stay under calories as much as possible.

    Fight the dark forces!! :)

    I get the depo shot.....NO PERIOD!!!! or symptoms of a period. I strongly suggest this!!!!
  • I have Endometriosis, which, in simple words, gives me "Periods from Hell", so to help with the inflammation and pain, I follow an Anti-Inflammatory Diet. Also, make sure I'm getting balanced Vitamins/Minerals (including my prenatal) and staying WELL hydrated.

    You have to find what works for you. Either weigh in and know it might be off and log it, weight in and know it might be off and dont log it, or dont weigh in knowing it might be off. Personally, I weigh in but that's because I'm a data analyst by trade and am addicted to numbers and trends...LOL.

    As for the cravings, would indulging in SMALL portions work for you? If so, do SMALL portions...if it would make you want even more and you wouldn't be able to control it...avoid having it in your house or make it very hard to get ahold of during that time.

    Depo-shot doesn't always work. I had it, gained weight, was depressed and got pregnant.
  • Try to get a little extra sleep this week. Being tired can also increase the munchies. :huh:
    Increase your iron intake this week if you can. It may help also.

    It is what it is. Weigh yourself with the knowledge of what the week is and knowing next week will be better!! I'm with one of the other posters, I don't show it (bloat weight) on the scale until the last day or 1-2 days after. Go figure.
