Strength Training Feature on MFP

Does the strength training count towards your time spent exercising/calories burned on MFP or is it just cardio activities that do? I already keep a weight lifting journal and don't want to waste time doubling up on record keeping if it does not factor into the calculated calories burned/exercise time on MFP tracker.
Thanks for your help!!

Myfitnesspal only caculates cardio exercises for you. You can add weightlifting, but it has no calorie value. If you know how many calories you burn weightlifting (Heart rate monitor) you can add weightlifting as a cardio option. Hope that makes sense!0

I did the same thing & it doesn't. You can add it under cardio though and then it will. Search for strength training & just put in the amount of time spent.0

The strength training side of MFP exercise does not have a calorie function, mainly because calculating the calories burned is really really complicated...
If you go to the cardio side they have a generic "Weight Training" you can use if you want to guesstimate calories burned. (I use it but I round it down)0 -
Thanks you guys for your help and great suggestions!0
