Retaining Fluid

I am a 24 y/o female and have lowered my sodium intake and still having trouble retaining fluid. Any ideas on a fix?

Thanks!

I would see a doctor. This could be underlying health issues. I know I retain fluid a lot due to my hypothyroidism as well as HBP.

Well I gotta say...I had the same problem for years!

Lost the weight and now I only get a swollen foot if I go way over on sodium and am stuck on an airplane.

Doctors usually know what they are talking about. Who knew? Lol

Drink more water. The more you drink, the less you retain.

My mother recommends sitting in a hot bath and drinking cold water. It makes me pee (after I get out of tub). I have no medical explanation for this, but it doesn't cost anything either.

Sodium and potassium both cause you to retain fluids. So does too much sitting. Walking always helps me tremendously. Tai chi is also excellent as it helps increase circulation in your lower legs of both blood and lymph.

I retain water all the time and I have no underlying health issues. I watch my sodium and I hit the water hard (120oz per day). I also add lemon juice to my water as it is a natural diuretic and will help you lose water weight.
