Today at the gym, I beat my high school personal record for 5K (3.1 miles) by 35 seconds :) i'm ecstatic.
freshman 15.. kiss my butt.

    That is great. What was the over all time? I'm curious because I never ran track. I done a couple, one on a track and the other on the treadmill.
  • Thanks!! My time was 24:13. Not setting any olympic records of course, but I'm happy!

    That is great. Give me something to shoot for as I lose weight. My best is 30:24 and still about 45 lbs over weight and 41.
  • if you're already getting that time, you will kill my time in the near future!! you're already beating out girls on my team who were 15-18 and not overweight so keep it up!

    Dude, that is a great time! You know how long it takes me to do 3 miles? 45 minutes. :indifferent: :sad: :laugh:

    Hey chic! That's great! Now I have something else to strive for. I am a new runner and am in training for my first 5K so you have really motivated me! You rock! And that's right...freshmen 15 can take a hike!

    Good for you! That's awesome! I wish I had only gained the Freshman 15! Mine was more like the Freshman 35! I'm 5 years out of college and i'm still trying to work it off!! :ohwell:
