Hey Y'all! My husband and I are working on this new lifestyle! We've lost about 12 pounds each already.... One of the biggest things is being prepared with meal plans and I need good recipes under 500 calories! Anything y'all have is great thanks!

I don't know the specific calories but i have some easy go to recipes i use regularly that are low calorie (and are also great to make a bunch of and then divide into tupperware for lunches for the week)
1) grilled or sauted chicken, sauted kale, topped with low sugar BBQ sauce. so easy and good. if you are feeling pressed for time and want to take it for lunch, just saute the chicken, put it over raw kale. at work i spoon about 2 tablespoons over it and microwave it--the kale gets cooked that way.
2) saute ground turkey, add onions, brocoli, cauliflower, and a can of fat free low sugar marinara sauce. great for lunch. can sprinkle with cheese.
3) lentil soup is easy--lentils, water, chicken broth, celery and onion.
4) a hearty vegetarian chili. i throw anything in it--3 kinds of beans, onions, peppers, potatoes, a bag of frozen okra, a bag of frozen mixed veggies. so easy.0 -

My simple go to meal is Chicken/Vegetable Kabobs. Cube chicken the day before add you favorite seasoning to marinate overnight. Place Meat and veggies(I like onions, peppers, and mushrooms) of your choice on Kabob Skewers. Throw on the grill and serve with Brown Rice or Quinoa.0

I do recipes from two cook books, Eat Shrink and be Merry as well as The Looney Spoons collection. They have tons of recipes almost all under 500 calories per serving plus tons of nutrition and health information. They are Canadian but I'm sure they can be found on Amazon. They r seriously the best cook books I have used.0
