What's your carb/fat/protein percentages

I am starting up again and have started to plan my days ahead of time (I think last one that's were I went wrong). Anyway I have logged two days so far and day one is 61% carbs 13% fat and 26% protein. The second day is 52 carbs 13% fat 30% protein. Am I on the right track? I am active 5-6 times a week.

I think it depends on your goals. I have mine set at 40/30/30 and I am lifting heavy 3 days a week and cardio 3 days a week.

You should probably eat more protein if you're active.

My lifting day is: 55% carbs, 25% protein, 20% fat
My rest day is: 15% carbs, 30% protein, 55% fat (lower calories, so protein is a slightly higher percent of the total)
  • I am just starting my nutrition reformation.....I am using 40% carbs, 20% fat and 40% protein as a starting point for the first 2 weeks. I will reevaluate the macronutrients after I can stabilize my diet to those percentages based on effective results, fatigue and overall mood.
  • Can anyone suggest ways to up my protein from looking at my diary for the next week? I am only cooking for myself so I'll eat the same thing for 3 days at a time. I'm a person of habit so I'm fine with eating the same breakfast, dinner while my lunch will change every few days.

Im at the 40/30/30 and had to get in more protein to make this happen. I bought some whey protein powder mix and found out I love it. I will drink one in the morning right away after a workout. Then I stick with high protein foods in general. Im like you that I am only cooking for myself and will eat the same for several days.

For breakfast I like cottage cheese or egg whites. I make a dinners based on being able to eat them for lunches as well. I like to make a chicken breast stir fry (madras curry) Then, I stuff it in a high fiber tortilla for lunch later on. I use the tortillas a lot to make lunches easy. Cook a pork loin for dinner and make a side of veg. Then, the pork can be sliced for sandwiches. Salmon is good too, I will bake a couple pieces and either eat alone (with veg and rice in some berry sauce) or I will add it into a soup. I have a few "go-to" items, like turkey burger patties and chicken sausage.

For me the best thing that works is pre-planning! My diary is open if you want to see some of my meals. (But go back 3 or more days, had a bad last 2)
