One of my MFP friends posted a little poem on another forum (credit goes to zyntx). I thought it would be fun to have one going in here as well. All types are accepted! Here's one to get us started:
Those fat cell seem to build so easily
As I sit at the mirror and stare.
Yet it takes so long to burn them off
Do I absorb them from the air?
Those fat cell seem to build so easily
As I sit at the mirror and stare.
Yet it takes so long to burn them off
Do I absorb them from the air?

I was the girl in the back of the class
 The one who never learned
 The one that never passed
 Screaming for attention
 Crying for love
 Enough is enough
 Time to rise above
 So many years wasted
Now its my time to shine
 Fk what every else thinks
Time to focus on whats mine
Now Im the girl with a smile on her face
 Life is too precious
To let it go to waste
 Others may judge you
But its none of their concern
Life is what you make of it
So take it in and learn0

            It all starts so suddenly
Just makes me want to flee.
 That moment of worry,
Can I make it if I hurry.
Sometimes it comes out like pee,
making me want to drop to my knee.
 Other times its like paste,
 coming out without haste.
 Somtimes its clumpy,
making me feel all sorts of dumpy.
Waiting for the moment when its done,
 God diarrhea is no fun.0

Perhaps I'm sick in the head.
 Perhaps I don't write a good thread.
If you don't pay your love,
 To the poster ABOVE,
Then a new topic is as good as dead.0

I screamed out for you in the middle of the night
You touched my hand and said everything will be alright
I said, "I miss you and need you, it's a tough world."
You kissed my cheek and said, "I'm right beside you funny girl."
Dedicated to my mom, the awesome woman who made me who I am today! I'll love you always & forever. Your "funny girl".0

            A Nursery Rhyme
 Little Miss Muffet
 Sat on a tuffet
 Eating her curds and whey.
 When along came a spider
 and sat down besider her
and pulled out his smartphone, showed her the MFP ap, and they realized that if she kept eating the curds she was totally going to blow her BMI.0

There was a young man from Penzance
Who couldn't fit into his pants.
 So he joined MFP
 Lost one hundred and three
And now he can do nothing but dance.0

An original by FPW *sniffle, this is a good one, folks ... I'm proud*
Sing to “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”
 Twinkle twinkle, Frito Lay,
Time for you to go away.
Like a fat cell on my butt,
You had me in a giant rut!
 Twinkle twinkle, in shape soon
By this time next year in June!

 Violets are Blue
Without MFP, what would I do?

my big belly knows what my fine belly wants—
languid, bloated hours in fast-food haunts
the bratwurst trembles when it sees my fork
shouting, “ please, dear God, spare the pork!”
 i rub my lovely belly, and scratch my hungry head;
i mumble to my plate that my belly must be fed
i reach for some gumbo and more red-eyed ham
i help myself to ‘tatters and fresh-boiled lamb
my belly knows well what my big belly needs—
strong tasting pumpkin with toasted barley seeds
the fennel starts to shriek, the hog’s jowl cries
i make a bloody mess with ketchup and fries
i scratch my big, tight belly as I linger in my bed
sugar plums still dancing in my sleep-filled head
i mumble to my loved ones that I need to eat
they make me something fast and make it sweet
my large belly knows what my fine belly wants—
strong-starving friends in noisy resto’ rants
the lima beans are howling as they hit my plate
my chop is acting skittish, saying, “Please, please, wait!”
i scramble after bacon; I slither after pie
the thought of slaw and fritters makes my belly cry
oh, my fine belly knows what my fine belly sees—
butter fat on cornbread and good-old black-eyed peas0

            Run.
That giant hill infront of me stands stationary,
so why am i scared to approach it?
 Why am i running again?
 Breathe.
 Run.
 Breathe.
 Run.
 I stare back and behold.
 The other side is victorious0

I fell from my highest peak................. bottomed out....... in less than a week.......
I cried like a baby....... knowing what happened..... just had to be.........
I dried my eyes...........still breathing heavy......this is getting messy.....
I couldn't blame anyone.......... for what was happening to me......
I looked at myself through the whites of my eyes...........
I saw the strength I had.....and knew this wasn't how I would die....
 I felt high...........sober as a funeral for my father........ I couldn't attend....
I have too much bottled up.....how it comes up......sometimes it just depends.......
I stand alone.........maybe why my whole life.....I had so many friends.......
I look through life from a completely different lens.......
I thank God for every adversity...........every situation I was able to learn from....
I found out countless times.... I'm stronger than most......and then some........
I knew the fight wasn't always physical.......but at the same time...... I could never run...
I didn't always choose my battles, others did sometimes.........some were dumb......
I went through growing pains........like a wisdom tooth giving you hell........
I use to read the Bible and National Geographic Magazine laying down in a cell...........
I wonder.......... at this very moment........if you could picture the places I dwell.....
I know some of them are just in my head.............and I start to think........o' well...
I don't really care, this is my own therapy..........I just went to the doctor........
I thank you Jaime.............and sorry I didn't write about past eating habits........ like Whoppers.....0

            If I had £10
for each day that I've logged on,
 I'd have enough for liposuction
and my fat would be all gone! 0 0

            My evil twin is screaming,
 As she suffocates to death,
 piano wire of celery string
cuts into fat rolls on her neck.
 Walking, running, dancing,
she cant keep up with me
 circle her on my bike,
she makes such stink face at me.
 this battle has waged long
 for twenty years, and more,
like a cat, and the ultimate mouse,
 we are eternally at war.
 King me with a cookie,
 check mate, DDR...
 Enough is enough, so silly,
I have already come so far.
She thinks its time for sleeping,
 to rise another way.
But her night will be forever...
 And so, begins my day.

            This outpouring is amazing
 Going agains the common herds
I had no idea how many MFPers
 Were hiding their creative words.
(Thanks all for sharing. Some serious and some clever but all appreciated.)0
