I'm not a fan of diets because I think they helped me get fat! :grumble: This ad looks like it promises too much too fast. Change your lifestyle. Eat healthy (and track what you eat here). Get fit through exercise.

    Good luck.:flowerforyou:

    Hi everyone,

I'm an editor at Reader's Digest and thought I could chime in about the Diet. The Digest Diet is a 21-day weight-loss plan based on groundbreaking science and newly discovered foods and habits that help your body to release fat. At its heart, the Digest Diet is a plan about food—the healthy, natural foods shown to help you shed fat and promote weight loss. To prove the effectiveness of the Digest Diet, we put a dozen men and women with different weight-loss goals on the plan. Together, the 12 panelists lost 151 pounds in three weeks! You can learn more about the book at http://www.digestdiet.com or check out http://www.facebook.com/digestdiet where men and women just like you post everyday about the plan. Let me know if you have any more questions!

have they kept the weight off?

Letter to the Editor... If you are endorsing your own product then please include a commercial banner to go along with your rhetoric, otherwise give us an independent group that has stated that your plan is in someway "groundbreaking." What do you mean by newly discovered food? If it has been consumed by people since prehistoric days it is not newly discovered, perhaps just uncommon in U.S.A. menus? Furthermore, why are you here except to do some self promotion? Go away and advertise on a forum where you at least have to pay to do so...

I have to agree with you... This is about changing a lifetime of poor habits and replacing them with strategies that will continue to work for you for the rest of your life. Make your own plan and treat yourself to the best researcher possible for your own health... YOU!

Big losses will be seen by almost everyone significantly overweight in the first couple weeks with any restriction of diet regardless of what "new" foods they are eating.

I have been on the diet for seven days. I haven't followed it perfectly, one day I had Stromboli for lunch and a few times I have had three glasses of red wine in a row. I have also skipped a shake, and changed around some of the meals and recipes. I feel great!! I have been trying to lose the last ten pounds for ten years. I am almost there now, have lost about eight pounds this month and four this week. But what is even better is that I feel positive, I love the recipes with the diet, I haven't felt hungry and although I am aware that I am eating less carbs and no high glycemic, simple white carbs, and I don't miss it! I ate a forkful of white pasta a few days ago and found it bland. When I do have a slice of whole wheat bread I am satisfied with one. I know it has only been five days but for today, this plan works well for me! (I have advocado or almond butter every day)

If the diet asks you to significantly reduce or remove any food group from your diet then it is unsustainable and a waste of time. Exercise, stay within your macros on MFP and be patient. The changes you make must be sustainable or you will end up frustrated and back at square one.
