4 ingredients. 1 of which is beans....yep beans. If you are using good tasting powder and chocolate you won't taste the beans.
These measure about 5 inches each by 1.5 inch and the mix made 5
Nutrition: 142kcal 12carbs 5g fat 12g protein 4g fibre
Ingredients + method:
Mash 230g cooked black beans in a bowl (I used Sainsburys So Organic carton)
Mash in 90g frozen raspberries (I used Lidl's frozen)
Mix in 55g chocolate casein (I used Reflex) *
*Use casein, as it provides a very easy to mould mix. It doesn't stick to your hands and is so much more pliable
Form into even bars then stick in the freezer for 10 mins.
In a tub melt 50g good quality dark chocolate.
Now I used one that was 70% dark with crispy bits of raspberry in (found in Lidl). Not only does this add a sweetness but it adds texture.
Smear it over the bars in any fashion you want
Note- a spatula/pallet knife if my best friend at this stage as it makes sure you get all the melted chocolate from the bowl
Put back in the fridge and eat when the chocolate is hardened.

It's a secret haunt for dark chocolate, their 74% is 79p and the one I used in this recipe, to the left was 99p....bargain

Would this be okay with chick peas or lentils? I have a ton of this I need to finish before I buy black beans!
But thanks so much, I hate recipes that have 20 ingredients that cost £30!0 -

Yeah totally, I've made bars with chickpeas before, here is a pic
The only thing I would think is that chick pea flavour for me is harder to mask, but like I said t depends on your powder and individual taste. Chick peas are denser too so maybe you will need to add a little liquid. I didn't in this recipe as the frozen berries release their liquid when mashed0 -
Thanks so much! I'll try these with different beans and lentils and take some pics.
Have a nice evening.0 -
