I have been working out at home and my gym for awhile and looking to change it up a bit and get off the plateau that I have seemed to hit.

Anyone have experience with Insanity? Just looking for real-life feed back vs the infomercials. Any pros and/or cons you can share? Thanks!!!

I want to know, too! I've had (REALLY FIT) friends do it and get sick after the first workout - that kinda pumps me up and kinda grosses me out
  • Hello Ladies,
I'm on my second round of Insanity and I love it. But then I'm a Cardio Hound. You just do what you can and rest when needed. As you go through it, you take fit tests that will show you how much stronger you are getting. On my first day I couldn't even do one push up. Now I can do sixteen in a row. For me that is fantastic. I enjoy this program and I'm glad to have it in my library. Good luck with your goals!

I did Insanity after I finished a round of p90x. I currently am doing a hybrid of the two.

For me, Pros: big calorie burn in short amount of time, easy dvds to travel with as they need no equipment, my endurance greatly improved, my legs look like a runners w/o actually having to run, they are challenging & i like a challenge, Shaun T is a great motivator & instructor, ab work w/out having to do a single crunch on the floor, easy to follow nutrition guide

Cons: I had a slight dread factor while doing Insanity...i did not really look forward to the workouts. I enjoy them now that I mix them w/p90x & only do them 2 or 3 times per week, but 6 days a week got a bit old for me. I did all 60 days though so it couldn't have been too bad I guess.

Love it!!! I'm not following the schedule as designed because I'm also running, doing P90X and BBL. BUT, just adding 2Insanity workouts per week over the past month has dramatically increased my running speed AND gotten me past my weight loss plateau!

I'm not exactly the fittest person and I"m doing Insanity right now. It definately whips you into shape. I'm on week 4 and though sometimes I have to push myself to do it I definately already see results.
