Recommendations for a good walking shoe

I have been looking at the Asics Gel Tech Walker Neo. I am doing a Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving Day. Walking is my main form of exercise, and I need a good walking shoe. I have bunions, so that is a main concern.
Thanks for any advice.

    I would go to a specialty running store and have them fit you with the proper shoe. Let them know you're mostly interested in using it for walking as opposed to running. Everyone is different so its best to determine what style you need.

    I have the New Balance 1012 - best shoe I've ever had - but not the best looking IMO. I run in them and they are like running on clouds.
