Ohhhh no - day 5 and think I have been good, got out and done loads, kept on the straight and narrow and today I think I have a cold starting, feel rubbish, so even though I have just eaten my breakfast, I am already thinking what else? Help words of wisdom anyone - I have to do this:embarassed:

Don't turn to food as a comforting activity. What other things do you do when feeling run down? I find that lounging about on the sofa under a duvet watching TV, or having a hot bath and reading a book, is more comforting than raiding the kitchen. Keep yourself stocked up on hot drinks - maybe even a hot chocolate?
It's just about changing old habits and it will constantly test you at first.
Good luck and hope you feel better soon.0 -
Thanks for that, used the have a bath technique last night to stop me doing the usual cup of tea and a biccie. Today, I went back to bed for an hour, as I hadn't slept very well, and will leave the house to meet friends this afternoon, all keeping me away from the dreaded cupboards.0

Lots of rest and lots of liquids, Vitamin C and Echinachea to boost your immune system.
I'm a firm believer in zinc - I personally like the Zycam spray. If you catch a cold right at the beginning it really does help to make it go away faster and not get as severe.
Hope you feel better.0 -
I kind of felt like that yesterday. I stayed in bed most of the day and slept it off. I think sometimes we push a little too hard and get run down.0

When I get tired, I feel like eating... and what I feel like eating are mostly carby salty fatty foods. I think it's because eating gives me a rush of energy and raises my blood pressure so I feel more awake... but only temporarily. I wonder if this might be one reason for craving snacky type food when you're feeling a bit under the weather. I would try to take a nice nap and then see how you feel... maybe even have some soup first. Warm tummy, warm bed, sweet dreams! :flowerforyou:
Hope you feel better soon and keep up the good work!0
