.... if that was sarcastic then ill go ahead and reply with the fact that ive never tried to loose weight before and everytime i log on it seems like someone on my news feed has lost weight again...didnt know if i should have lost/toned yet.0

Whatever you do don't get discouraged. There could be a lot of things going on inside that may not be reflecting on the scale. Remember that the scale is only a number and doesn't show how fit you are. Stay positive and you'll see results in no time. :flowerforyou:
BTW - I weigh myself constantly and it is a REALLY BAD habit of mine. I have decided that I am going to weigh myself only on Fridays going forward. That way I have a whole week to get my self together if I fudge up during the weekends. lol.0 -
I weigh-in every Friday morning before I eat.0

It happens. At various time here I've gained weight for a month, lost 2 pounds a week for several months, lost nothing for 2 weeks and then lost 4 pounds in 2 days, and gone for weeks without losing anything.0

I get on the scale everyday...0

I weigh myself once a week. Sometimes nothing will happen and other times I lose loads at once. Body's are strange things.
Just keep to a calorie deficit and exercise and you'll do fine0 -
Every morning.
I have to weigh in everyday. I can do a whole lot of damage in a week.0 -
Don't get discouraged. Remember, it didn't take a short time for you to gain the weight. Everybody loses weight differently. Just keep eating healthy and exercising and you will see it all come off. The scale often lies, do your clothes feel loose? Most the time that is when I can tell I am losing weight. I weigh everyday. My daughter says that I am obsessed with weighing. But I find that it helps keep me accountable.0

I weigh in once a week on Sunday morning and measurements every two weeks on Saturday morning.
Don't get discouraged! You're just starting out and you'll make it as long as you stay motivated!
Maybe you should wait another two weeks or so to weigh yourself again?
It can be exciting to put it off - then it's a surprise and can be very encouraging to see the numbers.
I'd rather see a larger decrease from waiting a week or more than a tiny decrease everyday or so. Looking at the scale too often is enough to drive must people nuts and really there is no point with water weight fluctuations.0 -
I log my weigh in once a week, some people do monthly (I weigh myself daily, but you have to remember that it can and WILL fluctuate daily so don't let it bother you) it is all up to you-I measure monthly, those numbers aren't going to change as quickly, unfortunately! This is your journey, you just have to figure out what to do to make it successful...and if you find what you are doing isn't working, change it up-we are all here for support-ask us anything!!0

everyone is different. It takes time to lose weight, some people more than others. But back to your original post-I weigh myself once a week (either Tuesday morning or Wednesday morning depending which day I'm home) I lost weight my second week here, nothing the next, more the next, ect then I didn't lose anything for almost a full month and now I'm losing again. It will happen, you just have to give it time and don't get discouraged (I know it's tough)0 -
I weigh-in every Friday morning before I eat.

i weigh myself every day. but only enter the number into MFP on fridays, thats my "official" weigh-in day where I have this little ritual where i fast for 12hrs prior to try and get the most consistent numbers i can.. i don't really know if it works but it makes me feel better lol0

I weigh every day, but don't "weigh in" more than once a week. Sometimes when you are getting started, it takes a few weeks to get everything going in the right direction. And everyone's loss is different. I prefer a slow and steady (although, to be honest, it's been a bit too slow lately) over rapid, because it will probably be easier to maintain.0

Twice a week - Monday and Friday mornings after my morning pee. I figure this way, I have an idea of how both the week and weekends went.
Whatever you do, as the saying goes, "Don't be a slave to the scale." Take stock of how you feel, and occasionally take measurements to see progress.0 -
I check my weight Mondays and Wednesdays but I use Monday morning before I eat as my official weigh in to try to keep my weekend partying in check!0
-
I weigh every day but record on Friday.
The key is to be patient. It's sort of like growing vegetables.0 -

your state of mind is important !! Find a way to sustain yourself beyond this weeks weight.
I often go 2 weeks without a lb drop. I try to be zen about it , or at least turn disappointment into resolve.
you do NOT need a gold star every week to know you are doing the right thing.
My calendar has a two month appt on it to measure waist, neck, ect.
raise you eyes up ,, you are headed toward your goal.0 -

It was VERY sarcastic, nice catch. (see what I did there?) Weigh in once per week, at the same time, under the same conditions. I go with Friday mornings, after the gym and before I eat breakfast. And have patience. It's only been one week; how much did you expect the scale to move?
And it's not a race with your Friend List. They are your motivation, not your competition. I don't know how many people are on your FL, but if it's more than 20, you'll see a loss just about every day, even if they each only post once per week. It's like when I'm playing poker at the casino and I swear everyone is winning but me. I'm comparing the results of one person (me) with the results of a group of nine people (the whole table). It's illogical yet frustrates me every time. Don't do that.0
