Husband and father getting fit

Hey,
I'm a 27 year old male from WI (go packers!) that is serious about getting myself fit. I was a wrestling in my youth years and wrestling for 13 years. I was part of a 3 time state championship team. I was in great shape most of my life until I hit college. I came to gain 50 pounds through 4.5 years of college and some time after in which I got married and had my first girl with my wife. I can't blame it on college because it was really my own doing and lack of motivation through college to keep health in check. But now with 2 little girls and a wonderful wife (my high school sweetheart of almost 13 years now!) I'm serious about ensuring that I'm around for a long time to enjoy every minute with them!
I recently made a major change in my diet by doing a diet reset/cleanse. I did the Beachbody Ultimate Reset and lost 22 pounds in 21 days! I am stoked! I also had my blood work done before and after for comparison. I'm waiting on these results and will share when they are available. I lost nearly 6 inches off my waist. The effect that I am most excited about is my energy levels haven't been this high since high school. By eating the right foods you can feel so much better and the weight loss will follow.
I use myfitness pal to track my daily calories and get an idea of how my overall nutrition plan is going for the day. Right now I'm doing P90X and need to intake more protein than carbs and fat. This is a great tool to accomplish my needs as I can use my smartphone to prepare meals and scan bar codes for daily entries. My goals are to lose an additional 30 pounds to get to my goal weight. I plan to build muscle mass to burn more calories and lose this weight. My larger goals are to compete in an Ultimate Warrior competition next summer and also run a half marathon at my college!
I look forward to working with everyone here! This looks like a nice supportive community. Set your goals and commit to youself and you will reap the rewards!

Hey Dan the man with a major plan! Welcome to club house. Down 50lbs myself, 30 of if from this summer alone. I know what its like being married with kids and trying to find time for fitness and clean eating brother. Going on 12 years of marriage with 3 kids in my life as well. I did P90X myself, wasn't overly impressed with it however, sure I lost weight but the fitness results weren't to what I was expecting from it. Now I hit the gym at least 4 days week, I try for 7 and have seem some serious results with this new workout I do. Stick with what works best for you the individual. If P90X is working, more power to you!
You need any 'friends' on here feel free to give me a request bud. The more support the more power we all have.
