Insanity - how fit do you have to be?

So, I am at uni and have becme quite tempted to try insanity. I know it will be hard work etc. but I just wondered how fit you actually have to be when you start? Over the summer I was exercising daily, including pole dancing, riding race horses and general competition riding. However, since coming back to uni in September I now only ride once every 2 weeks and play netball twice a week and would consider myself relitively unfit. I am also doing the 30DS every day to try and get myself slightly fitter.
So what do you guys think? How fit do you have to be to start insanity without killing yourself :blushing:
Thanks in advance

The best thing about insanity is that you can go at your own pace. Even the people on the actual DVD take tons of breaks (except for Tanya, but she's a robot). I think that if you go into it understanding that you might need to take breaks (when I couldn't breath/was exhausted, I would wait for my heart rate to go under 120) and that at first, you might need to do less pushups/etc than them, then you will totally see yourself improve! Insanity is still the toughest workout that I've ever done, but as long as you don't get frustrated and just push through, it is totally doable!0

I posted a similar question a while ago and got lots if similar replies. In the end though, after doing the fit test and looking at a few of the workouts, I decided it was a bit monotonous for me and did Julluan Muchaels Body Revolution instead.0

its doable at any level i trained before my 1st round, but if you remember to go at your own pace i think just about everyone can get through it. the toughest is the 1st week when your really really sore the whole week. you can always break or pause the video.
the best way i could describe it is it does not get any easier if thats what your looking for but, as you get into shape you can go longer and def harder with less breaks. the results on my end speak for themselves.

thanks guys, also I am thinking about doing it whilst on the last level of the 30DS so that I don't have to do it through my exams in January. Is this a bad idea?0
