Cardio and Strength training - how much rest Q?

Im starting up strength training with resistance bands and reading that you must rest a day in between sessions... But what about cardio? Is ok to do cardio each day for between 40-60 minutes and then strength training every second?

Just wondering if my below plan is ok? Advice would be great :) thanks

Day one, three, five, seven
AM – 40 minutes eliptical machine
PM – 1 hour resistance band training

Day two, four, six, eight
AM – 40 minutes incline walking
PM – 5km interval run/walking (30 minutes)

Day nine
AM – 40 minutes eliptical machine only

Your plan is good. Not that much of a load, you can do this everyday.

If you're just doing resistance band training I doubt it makes much of a difference. Especially since you're doing low impact cardio. If you're doing real strength training you're gonna need rest days. Just an example, I do my cardio on my "rest days" between weight lifting days. M/W/F weight lifting, T/Th cardio.

Are resistance bands going to make a difference? I thought it was the same as weights? I only brought a band because its too hard to take weights traveling for work and I dont have access to a gym while im away. himmmm... dont want to waste my time on it if Im not going to get good results?

Resistance bands aren't pointless or a waste of time depending on your goals and where you are starting at.

If you already have some notable strength, then you will not achieve the results that you can get with free weights.

For the purpose of some resistance training while traveling, they may be a great compliment to a workout also incorporating body weight exercises as well. It just may take some creativity.

I personally only recommend light cardio on resistance days primarily for a warmup.
You may look at a full body workout built around the following activities
    Air squats
    burpees
    bulgarian split squats
    stiff leg deadlifts (bands)
    pushups
inverse rows (a good handrail outside somewhere works great)
    or bent over band rows
    shoulder press (bands)
    curls (bands)
triceps push downs (bands over an open door or similar)
