Avocado Lime Shake - 214 Calories and Oh So Tasty
This is a tasty and filling shake that comes in at just 214 calories per serving. This recipe is for 2 servings.
You'll need;
1 Avocado
2 tbls Lime Juice
2 tbls Sugar
1/4 tsp Vanilla
1 1/2 Vanilla Almond Breeze (Unsweetened)
1/4 cup Water
Makes approx. 2 cups.
The first time I tried making this I used skim milk and it was quite tasty but obviously slightly higher in calories so the next time I tried it using almond milk. Since the avocado is so creamy I really didn't notice the lack of dairy. Enjoy!

Sounds lovely.. Is there an alternative for 'Vanilla Almond Breeze', is it a drink? Milk? Sorry never heard of it before, if i can't find an alternative Skim Milk will do. Cheers!0

Yes, Almond Breeze is a drink, it's sort of a milk alternative. It's not hard and fast that you use this though, I just tried it since it's very low in calories but really you can use whatever. Milk, soy milk, almond milk, it's all good though obviously the calories will change a bit.0

I actually don't bother buying dairy free milks anymore, I either make my own by blending nuts or oats with water, and then work through a straining process to get the pulp out (use the pulp in another recipe). OR, if I'm short on time or it's not really vital to the recipe, I skip the straining process (for smoothies & pancakes, I don't bother straining the "milk").
So far homemade almond milk is my favorite. I also love the taste of oat milk, but hate that it has a bit of a slimy consistency to it so I only use it in a recipe, not as a stand alone milk. & you can easily add your own additions to it as well (cinnamon, cocoa, coconut... blended raisins or dates will add a bit of natural sweetness, or you can add some sugar).0 -
Sounds yummy!! I'll have to try it!0
