Nutritious ideas for what to put on toast...

I eat two slices of toasted whole grain sugar free bread every morning. I have been using a reduced sugar jelly sparingly. I am looking for something that would be more nutritious and cut out the sugar entirely. I have been researching truvia and see some issues with that type of sweetener. I do not like honey. Any ideas?

Have you tried apple butter? It's really yummy and better than butter by a long-shot.

Any kind of pure nut butters - i.e. almond butter, cashew butter, etc. They make a nice change from peanut butter. Also, pumpkin seed butter. As long as you get them from a health food store, and read the ingredients, you should be able to find them easily with no added sugars.

Laughing cow cheese + natural jam

May sound weird, but it tastes like butter. And has more protein! XD

Mashed avocado with some vanilla protein powder until its sweet enough...thats like a buttery spread. it really is delicious.

    Peanut butter?

    Cottage cheese and egg omelet?

Pumpkin/Cinnamon/Stevia with some butter on top.

    Egg salad

Tuna mixed with Cream Cheese ( to avoid Mayo )

Cream Cheese with onion powder and cracked black pepper. All blended well...yummy spread.

Mash up fresh strawberries (healthy alternative to jam)
    Almond butter with sliced bananas
    thin apple slices with cinnamon
    overeasy/scrambled egg with spices

*I know you said you don't like honey, but you should still give this a try, its really good! Peanut butter, honey, bananas all together :)
