Just remember you're the one who has to walk around carrying the weight you have. There's no better feeling than actually seeing the progress and having those pants fit better. It will get tough sometimes but keep hangin on. I know for me I use Sunday as my "cheat day" day and get back on track the rest of the week. IT CAN BE DONE!
  • Hi Barbie and welcome to MP! It's a terrific tool. I've been here since May 26 and have made some great online fiends who give me terrific support and ideas. 52.3 pounds down in 155 days ... woot! ... it works if you do! Friend me if you would like and best of luck!

I went to look at your profile and you mentionned that you were dissappointed in yourself for your medical situation (thyroid). First of all, it's MEDICAL! You had nothing to do with it! Now that you know what you're condition is, let's find SOLUTIONS! I have been with MFP since last August and I lost 11 pounds so far. So weeks are good (lost 4,5 pounds once) and some weeks are bad (gained 3 pounds). But my MFP friends are there to support and inspire me! Welcome, be good to yourself (no talking down on yourself) and let's get you pregnant :) OK, your husband and yourself will do that but we will support you all the way!

Welcome to MFP, you are among friends here. We are here to support you, "if you can handle the truth LOL". Your profile sounds like you have a medical condition that your doctors are working on, so pay attention to them to regulate your thynoid condition. My daughter lost her thynoid due to radiation and chemo, so I know from her the struggle weight lost is until they get your meds right. Friend me if you are serious, you log everyday, you have an open diary, you drink water and try to make an effort with exercise. Good luck to you Barbie.
