My kids (age 16 and 20) BEG me to make this. It's so good and easy. I don't know the calorie count, but it's easy to figure out.

green onions/scallions (around 1/8 - 1/4 cup)
2-3 cloves garlic
2 tbls sesame or olive oil
splash of teriyaki sauce
1 cup brown rice
package of chicken tenders or breast
2 tbls hoisen sauce

start the brown rice cooking in the microwave according to package instructions.
In a skillet, heat oil. add chopped garlic, and green onions. sautee on med-high heat for a minute, then add the chicken. brown both sides of the chicken, then cut it into bite size pieces. add the teriyaki sauce. Stir and cover. reduce heat to low and mix occasionally.
When chicken pieces are cooked throughout, turn off heat and let it sit while rice finishes cooking.
When rice is done, pour it into the chicken mixture and add 2 tablespoons of the hoisen sauce. Stir well.

Makes 2 servings. It's DELICIOUS. sweet and nutty and healthy.

Rice is calorie dense so it's more accurate to weigh it to avoid extra calories. Do you have a digital food scale?
