Attraction & Love

Sooo....was pondering how this really feels. I want to know about that love at first sight feeling....or that invisible chemistry/attraction that pulls at you like a magnet so strong, you feel helpless.

When you feel that initial atttraction to someone...have you felt nervous or jumped to straighten your hair etc, said something stupid or gone all giggly?

When you are told you can't see that someone for a period of time.....have you felt like you've had your heart ripped out, felt like you couldn't breath properly for weeks, thought about them more than you would normally?

    I have no idea, the only true love I have ever had is my husband. We were always together from the first real date. We just wanted to be together all the time and he moved in with me within a month of our first date. It felt right to both of us and we've been together for 22 years.

    Aww...really happy for you both. 22 yrs is a long time.

    Of course, I've felt attraction and love before.....but I have to say....never like I have of late with someone. :smile:

    To be honest, I HATED the period on our relationship when it almost killed me when we had to be away from each other. I hated that initial feeling of insecurity at the beginning of the relationship. I love the comfortable love that we have. We are really best friends and lovers. There have been plenty of ups and downs over 22 years, but the ups have outweighed the downs which is why we are still together. Plus we have a fabulous marriage counselor! LOL

    Im seeing a girl I had an instant connection with in a random encounter, now were dating, its awesome lol

    for me it was just something that i knew. and i couldnt wait to hear from him, couldnt wait to talk to him, stayed up all night texting or talking on the phone, every minute together was fun and a rush of excitement

    The closest I ever came to "love at first site" I just KNEW that, somehow, some way, he would have a monumental impact on my life. This was before we even spoke. It was downright spooky. All I could do was pray that we wouldn't just be friends. We ended up having a long and lovely relationship, and even though he shattered my heart into a thousand pieces at the end of it, I wouldn't trade that time for my life.

    My wife and I have been together for 15 years and have three kids.

    I have never wanted to punch a person harder in the face.

    I am fairly certain she will kill me in my sleep and dress my corpse in fairy wings, take pictures, and post them on facebook.
