A lot of my success is due to nutrition and I follow a good plan consistently. Feel free to ask any questions. I feel like a wealth of knowledge with no one to share it with. I don't go telling people what to do because if they want to know they will ask. So if your curious please send me a message. I could talk fitness and nutrition all day.

I would love some feedback on my exercise routine!
Each morning I wake up at 5:00am and do 45 minutes of cardio on an empty stomach before work.
I am also planning to do a three day split of weight training- Legs, back & shoulders, arms & chest. I will also do abs daily.
I eat 1200 calories a day, and I feel that is sufficient as my exercise routine is not overly intense?0 -
Harlow, That sounds like a great plan. I like the idea of doing Cardio on an empty stomach, that is what I do as well. I also like the three day split. That's something else I do. The only things I would look at if I were you are:
1.) Re-think doing abs every day. (They are a muscle group like the other's and can suffer from overtraining.) If you want a tight midsection just focus extra energy on the nutrition. Train abs at most three days a week with at least a day in between.
2.) 1200kcal is a good amount for a female. I am eating 1700 and working out alot, so 1200 should do fine. With that being said don't go any lower because with the working out you will be doing your body will need every one of those calories to repair. That is a good deficit though and you should do well with it.
Finally not all calories are created equal, so make sure you are getting the right ratios in order to loose weight. You should look for 50% of your calories to come from lean protein, 30% from carbs (Whole grains and vegetables. NO WHITE BREADS, PASTAS OR SUGARS) and 20% from good fats (like those found in nuts and avocados.)
Hope that helps. Remember, most people know what to do. The tough part is applying it. Let me know if you ever need a pick-me-up. Stay strong and remember that you can do it!0 -
Thank you for the reply!
When I previously lost weight, I used to go to the gym 6 days a week and found that my life outside of my weightloss journey was non-existant. I am looking for a balance to allow me to stay at this for life!
My diary is open and I am happy for any feedback.. a standard day is:
Breakfast- 2 egg omlette with vegetables and some lean meat.
Snack - 50grams lean meat
Lunch - 100 grams of lean meat and vegetables (today is chicken with a curry seasoning)
Snack - 50 grams lean meat
Dinner - 100 grams of meat and salad (today is ground turkey with taco seasoning and salsa)
Snack - 50g of extra light ricotta with sugar free jelly.
On the days I go to the gym I have a protein shake after I workout.
I stay full throughout the day and have a decent calorie deficiet at the end of the week.0
