fats column totals

Hello everyone,
Can someone out there tell me why my
listed grams of fats never equal my total
grams of fats for the day?
For example - my dairy for today says that
I have had 11 grams of saturated fats, 1gram
of polyunsaturated fat, 5 grams of monounsaturated
fats and none of trans fats. However, my total count
of fats for the day is 42 grams of fats.
It just doesn't make sense!

It could be if you've taken your foods from the database, chances are not everyone else has entered all the sub categories to the food.
So they may enter the main things like carbs, fat and protein but not bother with the other things like sat, mono, sodium, vitamins etc.

This. Most of the time food fats are entered into the database as fat and saturated fat, no further breakdown.

People will "bump" a post to keep it at the top of the list of threads or so it is in their "My Topics" list so they can look at it later.
  • Yes, thankyou Shelbyfrootca - I think you're correct! I've just added each food items fat
count and, together, they equal the total amount for my day.
    thankyou all

  • Thankyou again (re bump) - there is always so much to learn!
