Does anyone else think the 45 is too low for protein intake???? My program states that I should only eat 45 of protein. I max out at lunch time for that!!! What in the hell about supper? lol

Is that what MFP is telling you to have? 45 is def too low...I always try to shoot over my body weight in grams of protein.

MFP sets your protein as a minimum so go crazy! I always try to eat way more protein. I LIKE to see my protein in the red.

It's too low. You can modify it to what you want.
  • I'm the same way as you. I try to eat a ton more protein

I get upwards of 150g/day. MFP is drastically low in protein as far as I'm concerned. I do heavy weight training daily, so naturally I need more. I wouldn't sweat going over the 45g as long as you keep in range for other things.... But that said, I also get around 145g of carbs/day.

I suggest doing some research online and determining your own numbers based on your goals, activity level, etc.

Yep, way too low. I shoot for at least .8g to 1g per lb of lean body mass

Unless you are 3' tall and weigh less than 50 lbs, that is too low.

Lol, that's funny. No im not 3 feet tall and 50lbs. lol. Normally I think I pull in about 75g of protein daily. I just do some lights weights a couple times a week. Play badminton once a week. Skate once a week. And I try to walk/job once or twice a week.
