Do people forget where they come after weight loss?

Lets just say you were way over weight, but then you lost tons of weight and you look great now. Do you "now" look down on the ones that are over weight. Become those people that taunted you when "you" "yourself" were overweight at one time.

or

have you learn to have a new outlook on life and not be the bully?

In High School when I lost 60 pounds In my head when I saw an overweight person I would be thinking " What are they thinking?" or I would give my [at the time] morbidly obese twin sister advice to lose weight. Now she is thinner than me and I Have gained and lost and gained weight so many times. I have gained one thing that I have no intention of losing: The knowledge that no one is better than anyone and karma can come in the form of a relapse.

Several organizations including this site are built around people that have made a change and people making a change helping eachother.I think an formerly overweight people has the understanding of how difficult the process is. So I very much doubt they would look down on another person.

I am not a bully and don't look down on people, BUT I do have LESS patience for excuses and people whining about not being able to lose weight, you can if you really want. Bottom line, I KNOW now.

I feel sorry for the people who are still overweight and see them loading their grocery carts with Lean Cuisine, WW frozen meals, and Diet soda pop, instead of fresh fruits and veggies. Weight loss info is out there...and most is free.

I was skinny in high school, and got fat after college.

Finally cleaned up my life, and worked out. It's hard, but oh so worth it!

I'm still not sure what kind of 'support' people on here get...I have some friends, and got the "way to go"comments but, I dunno, I don't feel 'connected' to people on here. I lost most of the weight I wanted to lose, so I don't log on as often as I used to. *shrug*

Pretty much this. My highest weight was 286 lbs (over 100 lbs more than my husband, bless his heart), I have PCOS, and I've had twins. I could have used a dozen excuses of why I "couldn't" lose weight (and I have in the past), but I didn't this time...I just did the work, stuck it out through the difficult times, and saw the results. Because I've done it, I know others can. So I'm less sympathetic to excuses now. I'm not mean about it though and I don't claim to be an expert on weight loss (I'm definitely not!). I remember how difficult it was. So I give advice when asked and keep my mouth shut otherwise.

I agree with the both of you. I have seen people with amputated limbs and auto immune diseases work hard and lose weight. The time it takes to sit at home watching Gossip Girl and facebooking you could have walked around your entire neighborhood and burn 300 calories.
