Cardio activity

If I am doing cardio at the gym ie cross trainer, stepper etc what do i class this as on the exercise tracker? Thanks

    maybe elliptical? is the stepper more like a stairmaster because there's an option in there for that

    There are 2 types of Stairmaster -- the escalator style (stepmill), and the stepper in which you don't actually step up. The calorie burns are different, I believe.

    My Polar heart monitor tracks my calorie burn ( much more accurately than the various machines themselves) -- I have found that the category " hiking uphill" is extremely close to what I get on the stepmill for the same amount of time. If you can't find the exact exercise in the database you may be able to find a reliable stand in.
