My favorite exercise is walking. It seems like at first it is hard to make yourself do any exercise you choose consistenly, and there are days when you just don't want to. But the trick is to make yourself do it anyway, you always feel better afterwards. I am actually to the point now where walking, or other forms of exercising are the way that I destress ater a stressful day. If I have an especially rough day at work, I can't wait to get home and workout!

There are a lot of people on here who are heavier than you. I'd recommend that you start with walking though, and work on increasing the length of time and speed. Maybe try to find a group or a friend to go with you to help keep you motivated. Often, having someone to be accountable to is very helpful! Hopefully as your fitness level increases (and weight decreases), you might enjoy it a lot more!

stop using your health conditions as an excuse. i have heath conditions hell 2 years ago i was probably a day or two away from checking out but i still bust my *kitten* in the gym religiously 6-7 days a week. you go there do what you can and as you get stronger and more conditioned you do more. put you blinders on there will always be people stronger than you and as you improve there will be people who are where you were

    This....

Anyway, I don't think she is using her health issues as an excuse, she admitted it helped her feel better...
Try your best to keep going with it and keep using these forums for support, if it makes you feel better you should definitely keep trying your hardest. I have asthma and it sets me back a little but like you it is worse when I don't exercise.
Well done on the loss to date, you can do it!

You're right, that wasn't very helpful of me. I wasn't trying to make her self esteem worse by just asking a simple question. Good thing it is SELF esteem and all.

Anyways to be a helpful member in this community...I would suggest like many other walking. Each time walk a littler further and faster. Also if you have a smart phone check out the app called Couch 2 5k...it slowly eases you into jogging a 5k. You can do it!!
