Don't eat them back. But as a guy you may want to look at eating no less than 1600kcal a day. so you can eat back 200. But even if you exercised 2000kcal you still should eat less than 1600kcal or over 1800kcal to lose weight0

go grab the peanut butter jar and dig away. The biggest question is why are you eating such little calories for an active man? What are you stats?0 -

I don't think anyone especially a man should be eating less than 1200 calories a day!!! You'll lose your lean muscle mass on such a huge calorie deficit. Please eat more!!!!0

Men should be netting no less than 1600 to help maintain your current muscle mass... But if it makes you feel better, I am 5'11, 192 lbs, 12% body fat, I sit at a desk all day (i am in finance) but workout 6 days a week for an hour and eat 2600 calories to cut. Also, with less than 20 lbs to lose, you should be aiming for .5 - 1 lb max.
BTW ,what is your workout routine?0 -

I know your pain, I can't run as I have tendinitis in my knees and wrist.... I would suggest setting your goal to 1 lb per week and concentrate on eating high calorie foods; nuts, avocado, cooking foods in EVOO or even that peanut butter thing I suggested. After that, if you still need calories, pick up some muscle milk or another high calorie protein shake to help it out. Also, you can look to eat lean proteins like steak (sirloin is always great as it's high in fat but low in saturated fat).0

Yeah without trying to get to intrusive in your routine and goals, I also recommend this to complete your intake. Nuts are high, any kind (Almonds, peanuts, whatever), also yogurt of any flavor, milk, oh man just 8 ounces 100+cals even if it's 2%, even a little mall cup of Special K or anything is 100+ cals too, there are many things there that in small amounts will add to your daily.
Don't feel like if you were wasting your effort eating calories you worked so hard to burn, remember you need to eat a certain limit or things won't work the way they should.
I do encourage you to read online as much as you can about the amount of calories you should eat.
Other than that, good luck!0
