Just your average college girl

Hey there! My name is Abby, I'm 22 years old, a senior in college, 5'7" and 162 pounds. For me, college has been much too kind in gifting me with 25 unnecessary pounds. Though the soft belly fat and little love handles are a pleasant reminder of late night pizzas and fun times with different boozes, I'm thinking it's time to leave the flub with college when I graduate.
I'm studying Communication with a concentration in interpersonal relationships. My heart is actually in music. My degree says "I can do anything," which is nice and flexible for the "real world". Right now, I've got 2 amazing internships at a major performing arts center and a non-profit arts council. Both of them have shown me the world I want to make my career in: helping people achieve their artistic dreams, creating closer communities, making music and making art. I hope I can have a life like that.
I am a singer and a pianist of 14 years and 10 years respectively. I also play guitar, ukulele, and recently took up the violin over the summer (my instructor doesn't know I have a hidden agenda in that I want to be a fiddler, not a classical violinist -- he gets kind of cranky when I even say the word "fiddle" since it's "not the proper way to play the instrument"). I love to write, act, read, climb things, run, play good video games (yes, only the good ones), and try new things. I've gotten into aerial silks thanks to some friends, but finding access to some has bee tricky. Being outside is a part of my life. I love being near the water or walking through the woods. It's hard for me to imagine a life without being near either of those. I will be perfectly content living near a city, not in one.
Anyway, there a little (or a lot) of information for this introductory post. I've begun my adventure into a healthier lifestyle and can't wait to reach my goal!

Hi. It's good to meet you. It seems like you and I have a lot in common. I am an elementary education major, but my heart, too, is in music. I'm blessed to have the time to get a minor in music. I'm hoping to intern at a nonprofit performing arts center next semester, though I don't know how likely that will be.
I, too, have a bit of weight to loose with thanks to those wonderful late night pizza parties and 4th meal Taco Bell runs. But I'm still surrounded by it and I'm going to be surrounded by it (and by golly, part of it) for another 2 years.
I'm sending you a friend request and I hope you don't mind. I just think you and I could really help motivate each other.0
