Protein Sources for Vegetarians (other than tofu)

Hi everyone! I've been on here for a week and am noticing a trend with my eating. I don't seem to eat enough protein and I think that's why I am always hungry and end up going over on carbs. I don't eat that much fish, I've been trying to eat more, and eat tofu and chicken occasionally (very rarely). Any suggestions for what I can eat?

Thanks everyone!

:)

I've been eating vegetarian and meeting my protein goals, going over them on average. You can flip through my diary, I have the protein on display.

Mostly it comes from legumes/beans, vegetables, dairy, grains and fish.

    Quinoa
  • Hmm I've tried quinoa...not loving it. Thanks for the other suggestions too. I am not a big bean/legume person and have been cutting back on dairy. I am kind of a picky eater.

Wheat berries, hummus, bean flour, defatten peanut flour, nuts, edamame, tvp, soya flour, veggie burgers, vegan yogurt, protein powder, nutritional yeast. There are many choices available.
