Hi everyone, my name's Lusi... Just wanted to say hey and that its a new week for me... I have started weight loss journeys before but I can honestly say now that my heart, soul and mind is totally in it..I am defintley ready and have started making those changes in order to help me achieve my goals. Any tips or advice for when you feel yourself slipping back into old habits or falling off the band wagon, would be greatly appreciated...

  • When i get discouraged I look at what I call my "wish picture " and remember where I want to be and how good it will feel once hte weight is gone. You can do it girl!!!!!!!!! STAY POSITIVE

I just look back at my starting photos (and even some I've taken as I've lost weight) and it usually motivates me to stick to my exercise and continue to eat healthy... :noway: because there is no-way I want to be close to what/how I looked when I first started my weight-loss journey! :embarassed:

Also... if you want a goal picture... why not look up an actress that you love that's your height and similar to your body-type? It's nice to have an idea of what you "might" look like when you get to your goal

For me its Scarlett Johannson... her and I are both 5' 3" and hourglass figures (hell we even have the same bust-size)... I don't think I'll ever get down to her 125-ish pounds (I like having a bit of muscle definition), but it's nice to image how I'd look if I got closer-to her weight versus the 190lbs i'm sitting at now :ohwell:

I suggest posting a picture of before and current where you can see it everyday. Also, having a group of friends to encourage and motivate you is really helpful. I also rant and rave sometimes in my daily posts and receive other people's ideas of what I should or should have done. You can do this and this site can sure be helpful. Feel free to add or message me anytime. My name is Kimberlee, 49.

When I started out, I tried not to get too revved up or gung-ho as it's not sustainable. I just kind of put my mind into quiet resolve mode. I've talked to other successful weight losers and there is a lot of agreement that the difference between failure and success is mental.

 Hi welcome abroad. However, this is your journey and only you can make that change, this is a great site for support when you need motivation. I have lost 2 stones so far and still have a long way to go, I have some pictures and use these as my motivation since I can see the difference now. It took me a while to get my self in the right frame but once I did I have not looked back. I am from the UK, if you want to add me please feel free, if not all the best on your journey
