Making better decisions about food and exercise is key to making this work.

What I wanted: Halloween Candy that I have for trick or treaters tomorrow
What I had: an apple with peanut butter

    some days do seem harder than others...but today for me !!

    what i wanted !! - cheese sandwich, crisps and chocolate for lunch

    what i had !! - tuna salad, grapes and fat free fromage frais :)

    Right now i want some of my grandsons Halloween candy. But i think i will have an apple with cinnamon and splenda instead.

    I wanted these giant white chocolate macadamia nut cookies from a local bakery (one cookie is about the size of a dinner plate!)

    ... but instead I drove home, had a cup of tea, and waited until it was time to have my nice healthy dinner; shrimp with zuchinni, spinach, garlic, ginger, soy sauce and shiritake noodles!

    I had a reeses peanut butter cup. I'd say I made a pretty fantastic decision today. :smokin:
  • I wanted to eat healthy today but there was leftover cake in the work fridge and I ate that along with my healthy lunch, now I feel awful, weak and bloated. Sigh :'(
    Must do better tomorrow and so forth!

    What I wanted was to sleep in.

    What I did was went to the gym and burned 1000 cals.

    Then I came home and had some Halloween Candy :D.

    What I had: Chocolate Frozen yogurt. Pffff it tasted more heavenly than the ice cream and I'm still way under calories. Not even half way there. Woooooooooo

    Wanted: bean and cheese burrito from local Mexican Restaurant

    Had: Amy's low-sodium Lentil and Vegetable Soup, Triscuits, Laughing Cow light cheese wedge

    Same general food groups--legumes, carbs and cheese--but lower in saturated fat and sodium and actually (almost) as good.

    What I wanted: A chicken, cheese and chorizo panini

    What I had instead: Chicken, red pepper, and rocket on wholemeal bread.

    In hindsight, I actually don't even think the first option would even have tasted any better, but it would have had twice the calories!

    What I wanted - to continue to sit on my butt all night. What I had - over 70 minutes of movement. Much better!
