Hi- if you've had edaname at Earls with sea salt and loved it but don't want to spend 9 dollars for a plate- try this. You can buy edaname in pods almost anywhere/frozen section. Just defrost under water or in microwave-don't cook. Than saute in a bit of olive oil spray/garlic powder (not garlic salt) and Frank's Red Hot sauce. Squeeze the beans out with your teeth into your mouth. Don't eat the pods.
156 calories for 8 oz including 13 carbs and 12 grams of protein.

Try it as an appetizer too.

I've only ever had edamame at a Japanese sushi place, VERY good. I haven't wanted to risk buying it, cooking it, and not liking it. BUT I may just have to give it a go now! :D

I don't get the Edamame craze, I despise the stuff, but to each his/her own I guess.

and don't forget they are GMO Soy as well...Nothing like a good genetically modified food to help you lose weight. Pay the extra money for organic Soy beans and know you are eating well and not modified garbage.
  • I agree. Why go through the trouble to get healthy and eat GMO products.

its delicious! very easy. My son even microwaves it and then does an assortment of whatever looks good to him. I get mad because he will eat the whole bag while I am at work!
